Get the Look: Elizabethan vintage wedding dress

Recently a bride to be called Sasha bought her vintage bag from us here at Your Vintage Life. The first bag she bought dated to the 1940s and alas was damaged – this started days of swapping photos of other stock we have that may have been suitable to match her dress. We spoke on the phone when she described her dress as Elizabethan in style and that she would be wearing pale gold brogues.

As you can imagine I couldn’t really picture this so she sent me some photos.

I was left breathless at the beauty and style of the dress, so much so, that I asked to feature it on the blog. The dress was made by Katya Katya Shurina (Kingly Court, London). Sasha  designed it over a course of 5 months with them, customising what she could, fusing their ‘Elizabeth’ skirt with customised scallop lace front and emerald green jewelled frontal piece.

The dress is floor length in beautiful lace with a lovely neckline. Layered over the top is a ruffle piece that fastens by silk bows at the back of the neck. It is covered in emerald green rhinestones.

This then teams up with a ribbon waistband with clear rhinestones to mirror the collar.

I love the rosebuds in her hair and her flowers too.

And she teamed this lovely dress with a vintage style umbrella and our gold bag.

Stunning.

I love
