I had a great weekend, a relaxing one even though a large part of it was spent writing. I went to my mummy’s house for the whole weekend to get spoilt while Mr YVL was at home being daddy to the children.
I even had a night out on Saturday. I went into town with a good friend and enjoyed the chance to dress up..vintage of course!
I wore this 1960s vintage dress. I love it especially as it’s so flattering with its nipped in waist and flared skirt. The pattern is typically late 60s with its psychedelic vibe. The colours are really vibrant too in blues and greens. Its made by Elka Couture.
I wore my new vintage style shoes from Miss L Fire. They are called Gabriella and are covered on crystals. Just the right amount of bling for this vintage gal.
I have them in red also which I wore to my wedding back in August. I couldn’t resist them in blue when they went into the sale recently.
I wore my green 1960s coat from Eastex. It is classic 60s style with its fitted shape plus it’s made from crimplene! This means it can go in the washing machine! It reminds me of the type of coat my grandma wore.
I used this mushroom leather bag with large bamboo handle. It’s vintage Jane Shilton.
I had such a great time, good Thai food and enjoyed nattering to my friend. Plus in the morning I didn’t wake to my 2 year old shouting but to poached eggs on toast. What more can a girl want?
(p.s. alas my camera isnt too hot with the flash…apologies for the quality of images )
Oh my gosh, your wedding outfit was just beautiful!! xx
