One of the common misconceptions about perimenopause is that it’s just irregular periods but in reality, it is so much more than that.

By irregular, it means that sometimes you have lots and sometimes you don’t have any for months.
What they don’t tell you about it is how heavy they can be. And by heavy I mean 6 weeks of heavy bleeding! It can get to the point where you are losing confidence, and you feel terrible.
This is not easy.
If this is you I highly recommend you see a doctor just to make sure there’s nothing more serious at play.
And ask for help!
They’ll probably put you on the contraception pill, give you the Mirena coil or try you with HRT.
Please don’t suffer in silence.
