Our Vintage Life

We had a great weekend off this week and we went to London. Last Christmas we were bought a night in a hotel so we finally booked up. Turns out it was the same weekend as the Classic Car Boot Sale. Think classic cars, street food, booze on a double-decker bus and vintage shopping..yay!

This cute pink two seater was my fave car of the day! So cute but wouldn’t fit my family in!

There was also the same car in red and white…which one to choose?

The shopping was great especially this lady in her camper. We bought a retro sweet dispenser from her which will be under the tree for the kids at Christmas.

In the evening we went to a vintage shop in Shoreditch called Paper Dress Vintage which turns into a venue at night. We went to see The Broadway Twisters: a Bedford band who we featured on last weeks Vintage Bedford and MK site. They were fab, I drank cocktails and we danced the night away!

Sunday we went to Oxford Street to see if we could find my book on the shelves. Nervously we went to Waterstones and thankfully we found it!

We walked down to Urban Outfitters to check out their vintage. I loved the mens department best especially their sneakers and skate boards.

I loved the vinyl for sale..who knew Sonia would be deemed desirable again?

I’m after a retro Dansette but am also loving these portable record players. Bright blue or pink roses?

Loving this collection of industrial lights all clamped together in there…I can feel a Styling Tips blog coming on!

Off we went to Liberty…I couldn’t resist the pull of the Christmas department. First though we checked out the furniture: Ercol, vintage mirrors and more.

I was in Christmas heaven…and this stock reminded me of our vintage decorations. They even sell a nostalgia range, glass santas and indented baubles in boxes. Much rather have the genuine though!

The sweet room was heavenly. I was surprised to see these Mint Balls as I have a vintage tin like this. I had no idea they were still made and love this display.

The weekend was great and much needed. Monday was straight back to work though: Courtney photographed over 50 retro homewares which ive spent all week listing. This sewing box is so cute..Im sure it will be snapped up quickly.

Finally Thursday we went live with our first Facebook Yard Sale. We added over 80 homewares items and soon started selling. With everything at a fiver you all clearly love a bargain!

This weekend we will be mainly listing stock to the website including lots of Ercol. We are getting ready for Christmas…it’s not that far off you know!!!

I love
