A little while ago we blogged about our little girl, Kitty’s bedroom. Filled with vintage toys such as her dolls and Fisher Price wind ups, we had a great response from all of you.
Featuring original 1960s wallpaper that was already in situ, her room is pale green, duck egg blue and lilac. The cream painted floor and pretty bedroom fireplace finished the look.

A few weeks back we collected some furniture from my late Great Aunts home. We had earmarked her vintage bedroom furniture for Kitty’s room some time ago so we were so pleased to finally get it.
It’s hand painted 40s/50s furniture in the same green as her wallpaper.
It has a cute dressing table with original mirror.
The stool has been hand covered in pretty pink flowers. We found some off cuts of this vintage material which is now being made into a rag doll for her Christmas present.
There is a bedside table and this long thin wardrobe.
Lastly there is a tall vintage chest, perfect for fitting into small spaces. This is where Paddington Bear sits and an old rag elephant.
Isnt she a lucky girl? Now all we have to do is tile her hearth and get some curtains made from the fabric you saw hung behind the dressing table.
And here is one of my favourite photos of Kitty sitting on her vintage ottoman.
Oh my god, her room is just beautiful! I would happily have all that furniture in my room so it will last her for ages.
