I love the 1960s. I love the fashion, the interiors, the music and well basically, the sense of hope and optimism that was abundant at the time. We were sending men to the moon, we were wearing skirts shorter ever before and the teenager was having a ball!
I love the fashion as I find it the most flattering for my shape, I like an A line and getting my legs out! So when I was asked to review these new vintage style June shoes from Ruby Shoo I jumped at the chance.
I discovered them first on a styled shoot I arranged for Vintage Life magazine – see the image here teamed up with a House of Foxy 1960s style dress.

They are monochrome which is not only fab for spring, but is classic 1960s. But for me, the glimpses of the colour teal make me happy! There is a band around the low block heel and the sole too. So what better, than to style them in my teal 1960s/70s lounge!
They are very comfy, not too narrow and a great height. They look great with a short skirt but also with a narrow trouser.
I am wearing them with a vintage dress by Linda Leigh with an amazing ruffle collar and cuffs. The teal tights were from New Look.
Check out their whole range here where you will find vintage style shoes from all eras.
