A few people on my feed have been saying that perimenopause is a trend, read on to find out the truth about perimenopause
The Truth About Perimenopause
Perimenopause is not a trend it’s a fact, it’s the years leading up to menopause.
This can last for a range of time it could be 5 years, could be 10 years, or it could be 3 years. Everybody’s different.
And the reason we’re talking about it right now is because we want to empower women to know what is happening with their bodies.
It’s a great thing – talking about it that is not the perimenopause that’s not so great.
The reason we didn’t use to talk about it was that women weren’t empowered to understand what was happening to their health.
They were silenced.
They were told it was all in their head.
They were told to put up with it.
And twenty years ago they were told that HRT was bad so they were scared to talk about it, by the way, it’s not bad for you!
So the next time you jump onto my feed to tell me that it’s a trend, consider this…
Your mother, your aunt, your grandmother, your sister, your cousin, your daughter, your wife, your partner, or even you might be struggling with perimenopause now or in the future.
So let’s help educate each other, support each other, and stop telling me off for jumping on the “trend” of perimenopause because it’s not a trend.
