This week has all been about one thing….Vintage Academy. Our first event is tomorrow so we have been busy finalising everything. We have goody bags to fill….
We have decorations to hang….
We have the presentation to finalise….
And there will be cakes too!
It’s in central London and we literally cannot wait.
Alongside this we have launched #vintagebizhour on Twitter. Next Monday between 9-10pm we are hoping to hear from all you vintage business owners – to chat, to share ideas…to build a vintage business community! So tell your friends and we hope to see you there!
There has been some fun though! Last Saturday we went to The Crimson Club in MK: held in a secret location with promise of a 1920s speakeasy, we dressed up and danced the night away. The Swing Ninjas played (Check them out! They played at our wedding so it was so good to see them again), I drank cocktails and we wore vintage! We featured the event on our site Vintage Bedford and MK and their next event is in February.
Poor Mr YVL had to get up early though the next day as it was the Furniture Flea in London. It was AMAZING….over 2000 people came through the door with just one thing on their minds- to buy furniture. He sold almost everything except one chair and a flower shaped coffee table!
It has been a great week but with our tax return looming, we really must knuckle down and do some admin!
