Our Vintage Life

We had a great weekend last week especially selling at Manchester’s Vintage Home Show. It is always a great event and yet again, it didn’t disappoint. We sold lots of retro teak furniture as well as signing books.

David Platt from Coronation Street even turned up but no, he didn’t buy any vintage sewing boxes from us!

On the Saturday, I met with Keeley to write the content for Vintage Academy. It’s going to be a great event (are you coming?) and great news is we have both Vintage Life magazine and Le Keux Cosmetics sponsoring us and giving fab items away in the goody bags!

Yesterday was Halloween so we had a party for the kids. As I’m a big kid we really enjoyed it! Eye ball jellies, spider pizzas and lots of games  including tonnes of sweets which made it a culinary affair!! We passed the pumpkin, we plunged our hands in goo (spaghetti for brains and runny jelly for ectoplasm) to find the treat or the trick. We even wrapped the mummies as mummies!

the orange balloons match our room!

ectoplasm jelly…yuk!

We had our giveaway all week on the blog where you could win a Mathmos lava lamp worth £70. However the subscribing button broke down so we are extending the competition for another week..hurrah!
