We spent most of the weekend in the garden; not sunbathing alas but actual gardening. For Father’s Day the children bought plants for their Daddy. Mostly herbs which will form a large herb bed. All the beds are full of aliums at the moment….it’s all looking lovely. So much so that it inspired our blog post “10 of the Best: Vintage Gardens”.
The kids set up a maze with the 1970s vintage wind breakers….the sun wasn’t exactly the same as at the beach but they enjoyed themselves anyway.
We finally hung our mosaic birds up in the back lounge which have been made from retro plates. Box of Frogs made them and they look so good with our Ercol furniture and colour scheme. Everyone has been admiring them..I can see some gift ideas coming on!
Saturday night, Mr YVL hang up our new Danish PS System. We had .it to sell but I just couldn’t bear to let it go. We will be selling the unit that it has replaced which is also very nice…but this is heavenly! It’s feels like it is
