OOTD: My Hen Night!

So first thing to say is this is a day late. Is that because you have been busy with Kitty’s 2nd birthday I hear you ask? Or getting ready for the wedding? Ah no, it’s because I have been a poorly girl since the hen night on Friday!

But today I’m almost back to the land of the living and here is my belated OOTD post.

So what to wear for a hen night? Need to be dressy and a bit glam, but not to be too over dressed! So out came one of my old faithfuls.

It’s a blue and gold early 1960s dress in a satin. The top part across the bust is lace. It fits really nicely and has a lovely large kick pleat at the back meaning I can walk (or stagger).

I needed a bag that wasnt too precious incase we went dancing. So no 1950s lucite  box bag for me. I chose a 1980s plastic raffia clutch with a long gold strap so I could wear it across my body later. Big enough for my lippy and money, small enough not to get in the way!

For later when it got cold I wore a brown short faux fur 1960s cape. It’s really cute with large buckles on the front in a faux tortoiseshell.

So here I am later in a lovely non vintage veil and sash!

What do you think?
