OOTD: 50s Hot Rods

So we are off to the yearly Hot Rod show here in Bedford. We go every year, usually camping over the whole weekend but with the wedding next week (triple eeek!) we just went for one day.

We will feature this event in our new website; Vintage Bedford & MK (watch this space as it’s not live yet)

So here is what I wore.

My blue floral original 1950s day dress…which this year doesnt seem to fit me! It’s too big: YAY! So I added a wide navy belt from Primark.

Teamed up with my red canvas wedges from Clarks and deep red lippy from Mac, I was ready! I added a bright coloured bird hairclip from Now, Voyager.

No hang on, no girl should ever go out without a great vintage bag. Mine dates from the 50s and I totally love the wooden handle and art deco like clasp. It’s white raffia with flowers embroidered on.
