It feels like everyone is embracing the 1960s right now. When I heard that Marks and Spencer had a 1960s Revival range I rushed online to check it out. There are some great key pieces that have the vibe, but you do need to search for them. On my phone I found the collection really easily but it was nowhere to be found on my desktop. Here are my favourites:My favourite piece is definitely this cute pale blue coat. It’s the right length for this era and looks great over a short dress.
This cream skater dress looks really good with the pussy bow blouse underneath. I really like the idea of winter white/cream paired with coloured tights which suit this 1960s look brilliantly.
This red skater dress will look great at the office and on a night out. I love its simplicity and will look great at Christmas.
This striped dress is also too cute. The small white collar gives it its 1960s feel. But to be honest, these are really the only items that are very 1960s. I was kinda hoping for more of the look that Louis Vuitton has captured brilliantly in his latest campaign. Now this makes me want to go out and get the look. Michelle Williams looks totally gorgeous too. As someone with bleached hair knows, it’s very hard to wear cream and white (it tends to blend in with your hair) but she rocks this look.
However, never fear….there are some other BRILLIANT pieces capturing a vintage look. The great thing about searching high and low for the 1960s range, was finding other things along the way that I am now lusting after.Like this leather dress with a slight 1960s feel. Now this is HOT! I would love it although I wonder how soft it is in reality.
This tassle dress with its flapper 1920s feel will look amazing at your Christmas party.
I love the 90s feel to this shaggy ombre coat. Half polar bear, half grizzly; wear with your skinny jeans and heels.
This dog tooth coat isn’t in their 1960s Revival range but it should be! When fastened it has a great funnel neck.
Finally I’m loving this late 1960s/ early 1970s inspired boho coat designed by Twiggy. It will be perfect when the winter hits (if it ever does!)
Which is your favourite? Do you think the 1960s Revival range is very 1960s or do you prefer the real thing? Let me know!
