Get The Look: Freestanding Vintage Kitchens

We love our vintage kitchenette that stands alongside our modern fitted kitchen. We think it’s from the 1930s due to its curved edges and patterns within the frosted glass. We use it as a bake station and store all baking kitchenalia in it.

Here is Carla and Martin’s one in baby blue which I featured in my book, Style Your Modern Vintage Home. As they live in a rented flat they have no say over the light wood cupboards but by adding this, they have injected some personality into the space. Plus it matches that amazing diner table and chairs!

Annie and Trevor also had a kitchenette in their pantry space. As it’s a great size they can store things that aren’t always needed everyday: we styled it up for the book also.

We featured this blue one last Christmas owned by our sponsor Splendid Vintage. I love that it’s next to the sofa, perfect storage for open plan living

I love the contract between the red walls and accessories with this blue one. And the stars on the glass are devine. It belongs to Helen Warner-Fancy who got in touch through our Facebook page.

These units often came in green just like this one belonging to Jane Jones. She bought it from H is for Home and she loves it! She clearly has great taste in ceramics as, like us, she has Lord Nelson storage jars on the top of hers.

And finally here is a white one which belongs to Justin and Adelle from H is for Home. Again they have the same storage jars….they clearly are popular!
