It is Father’s Day this weekend so I thought I’d create easy to make bunting to hang up for the day. We have a beam in our kitchen (I say beam, it is actually a boxed in RSJ put up as part of our extension) which we hang Christmas vintage garlands and Halloween bunting so it is the perfect place to hang a garland for Adam.
You too can print this off to create your own bunting. All you need to do is print out the letters you want then cut them carefully out. This is a fab thing to do with your kids – so they are also part of creating it for their Daddy! Using a hole punch, make a hole on both the top corners of each flag, then thread them onto ribbon or twine. I have used brown string (which I love using for many things!) but you could use anything you have to hand!
I chose a dark orange as it is not only retro but perfect for a more gentlemanly vintage look!
I have included some extra flags with hashtags, hearts, stars and some blanks to use to separate the words.
I hope you have a great weekend and spoil your father! Haven’t bought or made a gift for him yet? Check out this old blog for some inspiration (the items will be sold now though) or buy this months Reloved magazine for my DIY tutorial showing you how to make a bike clock.
