Have a vintage Christmas with Next

Today sees the start of a new series of blogs, showcasing my favourite homewares from High Street retailers – all with a vintage Christmas feel.

I am starting with Next, who always have a lovely Christmas department at an accessible price point. I have chosen a silver/white theme with a Nordic influence as well as vintage undertones.

I especially love the glass trifle dish which will make a great table centrepiece filled with vintage glass baubles.

It would be so refreshing if you could encourage buying ” real” vintage . It’s more unique and individual and also very green because it saves on land fill when these cheap Chinese imports are thrown away

Sorry that you feel this, but have you read my blog and book? I do encourage people to buy real vintage and my home is filled with it. However I do also buy modern sometimes (as so many of us do) so I like to show people what they can buy new too. I work with new brands as well as vintage ones. I also think life should be about choice: some people prefer to buy new with an old feel, some buy just old, some buy a mixture. I appreciate your feedback though. Have you seen my Christmas digital book with nothing new included at all? Kate
