The designer, Orla Kiely famed for her retro pattern has produced a range of coffee jars for the premium coffee brand Douwe Egberts. It is a marketing master stroke as so many of us are buying the jars to keep forever, yet still will then try the coffee. For me, it definitely worked as I hate coffee but I bought all three jars from my local Tesco. Luckily they have them on offer at a reduced price and my husband was pleased with the coffee.
They come in three different colours: orange, green and yellow which are all perfect for my kitchen. They are the traditional Douwe Egbert jars, glass with a neat stopper, with the pattern transferred on top.
So what shall we do with these jars, after the coffee has gone?
Well naturally we could use them to store our tea, coffee and sugar in.
Or maybe use them to hold pencils in your office or your children’s room.
They look lovely used as vases with handpicked flowers from the garden.
How about adding them to your pantry or in your kitchen cupboards, filled with all your baking and cooking basics.
But then again, they look really great just simply out on display. See how they match all my kitchen wares!
