Our Vintage Playroom

An age ago, Sarah wrote a blog post featuting styling ideas for displaying your wall art. Since then I have been meaning to revisit my kids playroom to create a wall for their many creations.

They are very lucky to have a playroom (I so wish it was my office) and it was featured in my book. It is packed full of retro and vintage toys as well as new ones, and people always comment on it when they come round. Mainly cries of “Oh I used to have that”!

We have created a yellow chimney breast, matching the tone of the original 1960s light shade that Adam has had for many years. This yellow also ties in with the flower power curtains.

Here is the rest of the room….let me know which toys you used to have!

Hi I love this and had some of those things. The one that jumps out most is the house with a blue door I think it was a Fisher Price toy I got that when I was 2/3 years old for Christmas and since then both my son and now my little girl have played with it at my mam’s house.
