Our Vintage Life

Well it has been a very busy week but also a fabulous week.

First up was the Festival of Vintage in York organised by Discover Vintage. We all went up for the weekend as I was signing books across the 2 days. At the last minute Adam decided he wanted to trade so Friday was spent packing up the van, full of home wares and furniture.

It was great to see so many familiar faces, both the sellers and the visitors. We always bump into many Twinwood regulars here which is always nice. We sold lots of furniture and record players…the Decca sold too! I had my photo taken by Amanda Morgan, wearing a dress from LoveurLook which I featured on his blog. I love the 1950s kitchen room set by Claire Rocks where I am standing!

I judged a competition for Vintage Academy and Vintage Life magazine; the best business. Focusing on brand, marketing, social presence, website, display, pricing and more, there was one clear winner. The menswear company called Froggy Went Courting won and they will be now featured on Vintage Life’s website and on this blog.

A bridal shoot took place organised by Glory Days Vintage which we are excited to be featuring soon.

We have received lots of great press this week also. We have been featured in 3 magazines this week as well as on a leading craft blog.

The National Vintage Wedding Fair was featured on the Stitch Craft Create blog, with an interview with myself.

My interview with Katherine Higgins for Home and Antiques was published, with our fair being names as the place to buy vintage wedding dresses.

Vintage Academy and one of our graduates were featured in V&Oak magazine also!

Finally, we were in Vintage Life but I haven’t received the copy yet so will share this with you next week.

The rest of the week has been filled with searching for a new car, delivering furniture around the country including picking up another fab retro bar and having an interview with the
