Vintage by the seaside

Last year we sold some mid-century furniture to a couple who were renovating a hotel down in St Ives. They wanted the furniture to be of this vintage era…which sounded like a fantastic project. They talked of making sink units from sideboards, which sounded even more intriguing. We sent off a 1960s cocktail cabinet, G Plan bedside tables and a fab sewing box.

Well Trevose Harbour House opened its doors to the public last month and I’m sure you will agree it looks breathtaking.

It is described as a “stylish boutique guesthouse” offering 5 guest bedrooms and a roof suite overlooking the picturesque harbour of St Ives.

The colour palette is white and blue which makes the teak tones feel warm and inviting. They have such an eye for design detail; the rooms look amazing. They have even added Neal’s Yard Remedies products into the bathrooms.

Food is locally sourced, the bar has an honesty box, and the suntrap terrace is the perfect place to unwind (when this summer arrives!)

I am truly inspired by the look and feel of this project and would love to stay there.

They have an opening offer of 30% off all bookings until the 18th April so better get your diary out folks.

For more information see their website, like their Facebook page, Twitter page or read their blog.
