Throw anywhere!

I know we are having freak weather but soon the evenings will start to get darker, it is the perfect time to snuggle up on the sofa with a great book or TV programme. Imagine how better it would be under a soft, hand crochet knit throw.

They are perfect to drape over a sofa even if you are not there. Here’s our black patchwork one which sits on the back of the sofa and keeps me warm in the evenings (in this cold house!)

Or thrown in the back of a classic car (in case you break down and need to keep warm…in the case of ours anyway!)

They are perfect for a baby’s nursery with pastel soft feel knits. Put in their pram for an individual look…stand out from the crowd at the mummy and baby group! A bright coloured one is perfect for an older child.

Use as a picnic blanket……..quickly before the sun goes..or why not have an indoor one? Perfect, again for kids: here’s my little girl playing on her 1st birthday on one.

Throw over your bed to add colour to white crisp linen…when it gets cold you can put it over you to keep warm!

Whatever you decide, we have a great collection collected over the summer months on the website now. If you like any, just clock on the picture to buy! We will be donating 10% of every sale to the Sue Ryder Charity who provide great care to  people with long term illness.

This one is a single bed size and shape

This one is soft and fluffy mohair!

Which one is your favourite?

These crochet blankets hold a very special place in my heart as my Nan used to make them all the time. As children, we always had them in our family. I was so sad when the last one we had was buried with the family dog (it was his favourite blanket). Then last year, when I had my little boy, my Aunt presented me with a beautiful crochet blanket, completely unused and perfect, in lovely pastel colours. My Nan had made it right at the end of her life and my Aunt had been holding onto it until someone in the family had a baby. Considering my Nan died in 1988, she’d been holding onto it for a rather long time!

Thank you for sharing this amazing and heart felt story. They are great for kids and so much nicer than shop bought ones. You’re a lucky lady (and little boy) to have had a nan that spent time making and giving x
