OOTD: hot, hot, hot!

So what to wear in this incredible heat? How to do vintage in 30 degrees is a toughie when generally you just want to wear an oversized sack!

I dream of looking like the Gil Evgren pin up, hair all bouncy as well as other bouncy bits!!

Well today I chose a 1970s fine cotton maxi dress. It reminds me of early Monsoon, with the slightly quilted top half. It’s as light as a feather which is just what I needed! The colour is still as vibrant as when it was made in its bright purples and greens. It is covered in tiny metal stones, a bit like rhinestones which is pretty but very annoying when they stick to you in this heat!

I wore a modern straw hat. And by the way my hair is wet not greasy!

I added three hair clips to keep my hair off my face.

To be honest I’m not great in the heat…I tend to over heat quickly so I spent most of the day in the shade. With my factor 50 on!
