Making a vintage wreath more vintage!

I recently found a very squashed 1960s/70s vintage wreath in a local junk shop. Once spruced up I felt it needed more vintage-ness added to it to make it look its best. This is something you could even do with a modern wreath as it is so simple and easy to do – it’s a great way to cheat!

You will  need:

  • a wreath, old or new
  • vintage baubles
  • floristry wire
  • some tinsel or ribbons and fir cones if needed (mine didn’t)
  • scissors

Simply cut lengths of wire and tie them around the bauble loop.

Thread it through the wreath and tie it at the back  firmly to lose most of the loop part from view.

If needed you can also thread through thin tinsel and ribbon and tie at the base.

Voila..easy peasy! I could have added more but I wanted it to be mainly green. I’ve now got two wreaths – a bauble one and this. I’m going to have a go on a modern one next!
