It has been a great vintage loving week again remembering all the we loved when we were younger!  All the photos were posted on the Your Vintage Life Facebook page and you added some great comments as always!

Did you love Olivia Newton John? We wore the leg warmers, did the aerobics (badly) and loved her ‘Physical’ song…  That look works now!

Hands up if you had (or your parents had) a 1980s mobile phone? Brick like with its long aerial and huge battery it was the ultimate ‘Yuppie’ accessory alongside the filofax.  Ah Yuppies…they were the boom days!

Did any of you watch the film Purple Rain and then fall head over heels in love with Prince? It was one of THE ultimate music film and may of you saw it at the cinema thinking you were super cool.   He may of became a squiggle later but in 1984 he was a heel wearing, purple loving, petite god!

Who loved watching Bagpuss in the 70s/80s? He was adorable and Oliver Postgate’s work is still magical now…and bery British. A window for lost toys, how wonderful!   One of you called her only daughter Emily, after the little girl, as she loved the show so much.

Ahh, Pretty in Pink. We all thought Molly Ringwald was cool…and not a traditional ‘perfect’ Hollywood beauty which was great.  Fashion, romance, great music, Andrew McCarthy and John Hughes’ great understanding of how hard it is t be a teenager.  And loveable Duckie…we all wanted a best friend who was in secretly love with us…

Did you ever carry around your “ghettoblaster”?  Not really that politically correct these days!  Breakdancing, playing cassettes, recording tape to tape and bigger being better was all remembered…
